Never raced at Southern? Get an idea here of what's needed.

Started in 1960, the Southern Go Kart Club has grown from a simple dirt track then to now being 755 metres of bitumen. There are both short and long tracks and can be run in an anti-clockwise and clockwise direction. A maximum lateral G-Force of 3.2G is pulled. The Pit Area is big enough to cater for over 300, including a trailer, and there's enough room for trade spaces (by prior arrangement) at major Race Meetings. The In-Grid and Out-Grid are both under cover and there is Grandstand seating in the pit area and along the main straight. There are toilet facilities in the Pit Area and behind the main straight.

Our clubrooms are licenced, with hot food and sandwiches served all day (with BIG thanks to the ladies who volunteer) for spectators and racers a like.  Whether it be the Summer months or Winter months, our club rooms are a great place to sit and view the whole track to watch some great quality racing.

More on the Track itself as follows:

32 Kart capacity

3 magnetic timing strips

Hot-mix bitumen

Practice 7 days a week (Times subject to daylight savings and open to Members only)

We are regarded by some of the best Karters and teams in Australia as one of the premier karting facilities in Australia.
